IMA Calm 110 Sinking
First out of my lure box is the IMA Calm 110. As soon as I saw this lure I fell in love with it. The Calm 110 is a sinking, hard pencil-type lure and has to be one of the most, if not the most, perfect sand eel representation on the market. Being slim and just 110mm long, this little beauty will do serious damage around shallow beaches, where juvenile sand eels school in thousands. The key to when to use the Calm 110 is in the name – this lure is perfect for flat calm days with crystal clear water and can either be fished close to the surface or allowed to sink. Not only does this lure look like the perfect sand eel, but fished with a steady retrieve, using short, aggressive sharp downward strikes to impart action, the Calm 110 will dart erratically, just like a sand eel too!
